Course Overview Highlights
This comprehensive 2-day course is a presentation of ultrasonography for Anaesthesiologists . Experts on the subject will present the anatomical and technical aspects of this procedure along with risks, benefits and outcomes.
The course features interactive lecture sessions, fresh anatomical specimen dissection (including cadaveric skills stations, anatomical models ), training videos and case presentations. Participants will have an opportunity to enhance their knowledge regarding use of ultrasonography.
Educational Objectives
This workshop has been designed to provide the anaesthesiologists with the opportunity to enhance their own skills in a variety of ultrasound guided procedures. The participants will:
i) Review and perform upper and limb ultrasound guided nerve blocks
ii) Learn and discuss various trunkal blocks,paravertebral and caudal blocks
iii) Discuss the techniques of transthoracic echocardiography, chest sonography, gastric ultrasound and intravascular access
iv) Discuss complication avoidance and management

This advanced course is designed for anaesthesiologists , general physicians or ED physicians who are interested in the ultrasound guided nerve blocks and procedures
